Kind of Lenses

There are many kinds of lenses developing today. Every manufacturers have produces them with each advantages feature of lens. Here are some categories of lens :

• Standard or normal Lens
• Wide Angle Lens
• Fish Eye Lens
• Tele Lens
• Zoom Lens
• Macro Lens

The Explanation

1. Standard Lens

This lens also called normal lens or Fix lens. About 50mm and give natural shot characteristic. The lens doesn't have any zoom, because the distance is constant. But almost of this lens kind has many aperture especially big aperture as f/1.4, f/1.8, f/2.8, f/3.5 etc.

2. Wide Angle Lens

This kind of lens can used for wide object at small room. The character of this lens is make the object smaller than actual size. Using this lens, in indoor we can capture more people lined if compared with normal lens. Shorter lens focus distance, more wide visibility. Wide angle lenses range are :

• 17mm
• 24mm
• 28mm
• 35mm

3. Fish Eye Lens

This kind lens is wide lens angle with diameter 14mm,15mm and 16mm. This lens make 180 degree viewpoint.

4. Tele Lens

This lens is wide angle opposite. Tele has a function to make object closer, but viewpoint is narrow. the size of tele lens is sizes 70mm and more. because the viewpoint is narrow, so the lens make deep of field are selective blur. Its not become a problem, because that lens indeed in use to closing and focusing selective object.

5. Zoom Lens

This is the combination between standard lens, wide angle lens and tele lens. the size is not fixed, example 80-200mm. this lens is flexible enough and has wide lens range. So, zoom lens more often used, cause user just rotate the lens size as needed.

6. Macro Lens

Those lenses usually used for capture small object.
